Romano x Reader: Rainy Days Ch. 3

~* * *~ (Later that day)

"Romano told us your story, (Name). It is all right to trust all of us; we would never hurt you."

"Ludwig is right, ma chère beauté; we are here for you as we are here for each other."

"Besides, Roma only had to ask once before we all jumped to our feet to help. Derecha, mi hermano pequeño~!"

"Sì."

"Thank you all so much for helping me, I just didn't know who I could trust."

"Well, señorita, you can trust all of us, we are at your beck and call."

You nearly giggled at the tone Antonio, Romano's older brother used but it made you feel more like a kid than ever.

"Thank you."

"First thing first, we'll need Arthur and Alfred to pull up info on you and your cousin, they both happen to be in areas you come from."

"I'll call eyebrows, Antonio, get a hold of Alfred."

"Ya que, mi amigo."

You stood watching the men work and remembered what your father had told you, and quickly turned toward Romano.

"Romano, do you have a phone I can borrow, I need to call my father and let him know I'm okay."

"Yeah, here, I'll show you where it's at."

Romano took you by the hand and led you to a spacious, cobblestone kitchen with high ceilings and a very large refrigerator to store tons of food in. in the corner by the stove was a phone, and as you walked over to it, Romano backed away, leaning against the far wall with his arms crossed over his chest.

"Hello, (Last name) residence, how may I help you?"

"Dad, it's me, (Name)."

"Oh! I've been waiting for that call, girl, I know that it doesn't take that long to get from England to Italy, why are you so late?"

Your father had always been the person to worry far more than necessary about people, and especially his only daughter. It was no wonder that some people got exasperated when he noticed something wrong with them, because he didn't stop pressing until you told him the problem.

"I ran into some trouble, Dad, I am perfectly fine now, but I thought I should call and let you know."

"This isn't your cell number or the hotel room you bought, where are you?"

"I'm staying with some good friends; they are helping me find my cousin. I'll be home as soon as I can with (Cousin Name), okay?"

"All right, be carefully though."

"I will, I love you Dad."

"I love you too."

Hanging up, you placed a hand on the wall and felt hopeless, even with these new friends helping you, everything seemed to run into a dead end in your mind. That same thought from your last nap came to the forefront and you shook your head, wanting to get it out because you trusted these people. you had to trust them, they were your only hope.
